<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for treating food waste, and more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for treating food waste by first pulverizing food by using a ball mill, and decomposing the pulverized food with microorganisms. The apparatus for treating food waste according to the present invention comprises: an injection port; a rotary pulverization unit connected to the injection port, which comprises a ball mill for pulverizing injected food waste; a driving motor unit for rotating the rotary pulverization unit; a microorganism decomposition unit for decomposing the food waste pulverized by the rotary pulverization unit by using microorganisms; and a microorganism injection unit for injecting predetermined microorganisms into the microorganism decomposition unit. According to the present invention, food waste can be treated with high decomposition efficiency in a sanitary environment.</p> |
