<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute information to an information display terminal while reducing the processing load on an information providing device. <P>SOLUTION: The information providing device providing information to an information display terminal via a network includes a control part, a storage part for storing information, and a communication processing part that communicates with the information display terminal. When the communication processing part receives a request to distribute information from the information display terminal, the control part calculates the expected time of an information update, and then the communication processing part sends information to the information display terminal, together with the expected time of the update calculated. After the expected time of the update has elapsed since the transmission of the information, the communication processing part receives a request to distribute the information, the request being sent again by the information display terminal based on the expected time of the update; in this case, if the information has not been updated since the last transmission, the communication processing part waits for the information to be updated and transmits the updated information to the information display terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
