<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a silica-based porous body which permits continuous coating independent of size of a substrate, is excellent in the productivity and can provide a preferable optically-functional layer having a low refractive index and superior durability. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a silica-based porous body, a silica-based composition comprising a hydrolytic group-containing silane composed of at least two kinds of alkoxysilanes, hydrolyzate and partial condensate of the alkoxysilanes, water, alcohols and an organic polymer is applied on a substrate of which the flatness measured by a method according to JIS B7513 is 20 μm or less and, thereafter, the applied silica-based composition is heated at 100°C or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
