PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood antifungal composition used for keeping wood from getting moldy, especially a wood antifungal composition for effectively preventing the contamination of wood caused by zygomycetes such as fungi belonging to Mucor, Rhizopus or the like over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The wood antifungal composition contains at least on kind of metal pyrithione based compound selected from sodium pyrithione, zinc pyrithione and copper pyrithione and at least one of a copper compound selected from copper oxychloride, copper hydroxycarbonate, copper carbonate, copper sulfate, a copper oxysulfate, copper acetate, copper oxide, copper naphthenate, copper cupric hydroxide, copper terephthalate, copper bisethylenediamine dodecylbenzene sulfonate, copper nonylphenol sulfonate, copper hydroxynonylbenzene sulfonate, copper polystyrene sulfonate and copper oxine.
