PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a getting on/off system of a movable body capable of safely getting on/off a vehicle, and a control method of the same. SOLUTION: The getting on/off system of the movable body 1 has a first detection means for detecting peripheral information, and includes: a wheel chair type movable body 10 which self-directively moves based on the peripheral information detected by the first detection means; a second detection means which is provided in the vehicle 30 causing the movable body 10 to get on/off, and detects the peripheral information of the movable body 10; and a transmission means which transmits the peripheral information of the movable body 10 detected by the second detection means to the movable body 10. The movable body 10 self-directively gets on/off the vehicle 30 based on the peripheral information detected by the first detection means and the peripheral information transmitted by the transmission means.
