PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact two-stage screw compressor completely preventing leakage of fluid to be compressed. SOLUTION: This two-stage screw compressor includes: a first stage compressor 2 compressing the fluid by a screw rotor 8; a second stage compressor 3 arranged below the first stage compressor 2 and further compressing the fluid compressed by the first stage compressor 2 by a screw rotor 9; and a motor 4 driving the first stage compressor 2 and second stage compressor 3. A connection space 23 serving as a flow passage for connecting the delivery port of the first stage compressor 2 to the suction opening of the second stage compressor 3 and storing transmission mechanisms 17, 18, 19 for transmitting torque from the motor 4 to the first stage compressor 2 and second stage compressor 3 is formed by being sealed by the casing 22 of the motor 4. The lower end of the rotor 25 of the motor 4 is set higher than the lower end of the screw rotor 9 of the second stage compressor 3, and the connection space 23 and the internal space 24 of the motor 4 are made to communicate with each other at a position lower than the lower end of the rotor 25 of the motor 4.
