PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation mechanism which makes a closing operation by manual operation impossible in a closed circuit state of a circuit breaker. SOLUTION: The circuit breaker includes a closing operation rod 33 for manually performing the closing operation, a closing operation hole 32 provided to a front panel 31 which the closing operation rod 33 is inserted into, a putting-in paddle 29 provided while facing the closing operation hole 32, a rotatable putting-in shaft 28 which the putting-in paddle 29 is fixed to, a closing spring 18 latched together with the putting-in shaft 28, and a main link 12 which rotates while interlocking with force-store and force-release operations of the closing spring 18. In the operation mechanism of the circuit breaker, the closing operation hole 32 is closed by a shutter 56 which is connected to the main link 12 by a plurality of links 50, 51 and 54 when force-store operation of the closing spring 18.
