The invention relates to a binder for mineral building materials such as sand, gravel, stone chips, or the like that is composed of a natural hydrocolloid material and a naturally obtained latex as a stabilizer, and to a method for producing said binder. According to the invention, the binder is produced from the plant of the Taraxacum officinalis or of the Sonchus thistles or of the Dipsacus silvestris by the following steps: - cleaning the plants, - comminuting the plants, and - separating the liquid components. The binder according to the invention has the advantage that said binder can be used as an independent component in liquid form. Thus, the binder can be processed more easily, because the binder merely has to be applied to the surface prepared with the mineral material or joint filled with the mineral material. Due to the starting materials of the binder, which can be easily obtained, and the simple production method of the binder, the binder is priced lower than the comparable binders currently offered on the market. |
