The invention relates to a device (1) for covering a surface (3) such as a swimming pool, a sports field, a glazed surface, a vehicle body, including: (a) a drum (2) rotatingly mounted and capable of winding or unwinding a cover (10), said drum (2) being mounted on longitudinal translation mechanisms including rails (6) provided on either side of said surface (3); (b) an attachment system (8) for said cover (10) at one transverse end (27) of the surface to be covered (3) so that the translation and the rotation of the drum (2) results in the winding/unwinding of the cover (10) above the surface to be covered (3); (c) a system (11) for continuously locking the longitudinal edges of the cover (10) onto said rails (6) that is progressively fitted during the unwinding operation. |
