PURPOSE: An optical amplifier using a prism structure and optical amplification system using the same are provided to amplify light using an active medium of a prism structure, thereby miniaturizing and simplifying a high power optical amplifier and preventing thermal distortion. CONSTITUTION: An optical amplifier using a prism structure includes a light incident unit(312), reflective units(314,316,324,326), and a light emitting unit(322). Light is incident onto an active medium through the light incident unit. The reflective units circulate the incident light in the active medium through total reflection by a threshold angle. Amplified light is emitted from the active medium through the light emitting unit. An optical amplifier(300) using a prism structure excites active media of prism structures to amplify light.
