<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve abnormality determining device capable of accurately determining whether a control valve is normally operated or not. <P>SOLUTION: This control valve abnormality determining device is applied to an engine 10 including a supercharger 61 and the control valve 64. The control valve abnormality determining device models the dynamic characteristics of an operation parameter of the engine 10 as a plurality of ARX (AutoRegressive eXogeneous) models corresponding to the opening of the control valve 64 according to a sectional affine analysis method. The control valve abnormality determining device estimates a value of the operation parameter at a predetermined point of time using the modeled dynamic characteristics of the operation parameter. The control valve abnormality determining device determines whether the control valve 64 is normally operated by comparing the value of the estimated operation parameter with the value of an actual operation parameter at the predetermined point of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
