PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner capable of reducing manufacturing man-hours. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit 1 of the air conditioner includes a cabinet 2 forming an exterior, a terminal 8 arranged in the cabinet 2 connected with power supply wiring, a metal stranding part 5 provided in a standing manner to form the peripheral face of the cabinet 2 and opened at a window 5a facing the terminal 8, and a cover 10 formed of a resin molding for opening and closing the window 5a. The outdoor unit is provided with: an outer peripheral rib 11 provided in a projecting manner at the periphery of the back face of the cover 10 and abutting against the standing part 5; and a projection 12 projecting from the back face of the cover 10 along the inner peripheral side of the outer peripheral rib 11 to form a groove 13 between the projection and the outer peripheral rib 11 and abut against the standing part 5.
