PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and an image processing device which can embed two-dimensional code information in an image so as not to be viewed and confirmed. SOLUTION: The image processing device (100) has a two-dimensional code data spread processing unit (101) which creates two-dimensional code spread data with two-dimensional code data spread in a predetermined region whose size is equal to an input image size or less and a composition unit (a binarization unit 102, a comparison unit 103, and an image processing unit 104) which creates a composite image by embedding the two-dimensional code spread data in the corresponding pixels of the input image data.
