PURPOSE: A locking apparatus for charging plug of an electric vehicle and a method for charging of the electric vehicle using thereof are provided to maintain the connection state of a charge plug by locking the connection of the charge plug. CONSTITUTION: A locking apparatus for charging plug of an electric includes a coil unit(110) and a power supply unit. The coil unit is wound around the outer circumference of a part of a connection metal terminal which is provided in a charge plug. The power supply unit applies power to the both ends of the coil. The part of a connection metal terminal maintains the connection state between the charge plug and a socket unit according to an electromagnet property. The metal terminal has a hollow space therein.
