<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrating reed, with a small size, a low CI value, and suppressed generation of unwanted vibrations. <P>SOLUTION: A piezoelectric vibrating reed 81 includes a pair of vibrating arms 83 bisected from one terminal side of a base 22 and extending parallel to each other; weight portions 85 provided on tip sides of the vibrating arms 83; and bottomed first grooves 87 along a longitudinal direction of the vibrating arms 83. A first excitation electrode 89 is formed on side surfaces from the side of the base 22 of the first groove portion 87 to the tip side, and a second excitation electrode 90 is formed on side surfaces from the side of the base 22 of the vibrating arms 83 to the tip side. A projection-in-groove 95 for mass addition is formed in the first groove portion 87 on the tip side, rather than a half L/2 of a length L from a tip end that serves as a connecting portion with the base 22 of each vibrating arm 83, to a tip end (tip of the weight portion 85). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
