PURPOSE: An optical joystick and a portable device using the same are provided to improve the operation performance by increasing the light quantity. CONSTITUTION: A prism(40) reflects the light projecting angle to a predetermined angle. A housing(50) is illuminated by the reflected light. An imaging unit is integrally composed with the prism. A holder(70) receives the imaging unit. A light receiving sensor computes the displacement value by receiving the imaging light from the imaging unit. The holder comprises a stop(76) for passing bright light on the central part of the light source. |
