<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep high occupant-protecting performance and to prevent an occupant from providing discomfort feeling by making a seat belt state understood in advance of a time of need, and by performing optimum winding control when required. <P>SOLUTION: A seat belt device for a vehicle is provided with an electric motor, which drives the winding and unwinding of a seat belt, and a control device, which works as a pretensioner. The control device drives the electric motor by a small current of such an extent that does not allow an occupant to be restrained and changes the winding operation of the pretensioner at each predetermined intermittent timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
