<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical impact crusher which can increase the crushing efficiency of an introduced raw material by carrying out a two-stage constitutional crushing operation and thereby, facilitate a maintenance service to the crusher. <P>SOLUTION: This vertical impact crusher comprises a guide member 16 which includes an impeller blade capable of making a vertical rotator rotating at high speed accelerate the discharge velocity of the raw material vertically in a housing 1, and a plurality of striking members 17 arranged apart from the outer circumference of the guide member 16, and thus, crushes the raw material to be discharged from the impeller blade by striking. In addition, the vertical impact crusher is also, structured of a rectangular anvil 21 of lamellar material which is fixedly arranged inside a housing 1, surrounding the circumference of the striking member 17 and further, crushes the raw material through with the crushing process, from the striking member 17.
