<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load applied to a passenger restrained by an air bag by adjusting the pressure of the air bag at a suitable timing. <P>SOLUTION: An amount of cooling liquid injected to an inner part of the air bag is determined in accordance with information of the passenger obtained through a weight sensor 32, a seat position sensor 33, a position detecting camera 34 and a buckle switch 35 and a level of collision decided in accordance with an acceleration sensor 31. Then, the cooling liquid of the determined amount is injected to the inner part of the expanded air bag. Thus, a restraining force of the passenger can be adjusted in accordance with the physique or position of the passenger or the level of the collision of a vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
