<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery having a high output with superior reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium ion secondary battery is provided with a positive electrode containing as a positive electrode active material a lithium nickel compound oxide as expressed by a general formula: Li<SB>1-a</SB>Ni<SB>x</SB>Mn<SB>y</SB>M<SB>z</SB>O<SB>2</SB>(in the formula, M is at least one kind of element selected from a group of Ti, Cr, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Al, Ge, Sn, Mg and Zr, and 0.4≤a≤0.6, x+y+z=1, x≥y>0, x≥z>0 ) when the potential of a negative electrode becomes 0.05 V, and a separator which contains heat resistant particulates as a main component and a heat resistant porous layer with a thickness of 3 μm or more and a resin film made of polyolefin, and the output density is 1,000 W/kg or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
