<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission delay difference absorption method which satisfies three requirements i.e., eliminating the need for adding one lane for an optical transmission line, eliminating the need for adding an external circuit, and ensuring applicability to SONET/SDH (Synchronous Optical Network/Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) and OTN (Optical Transport Network). <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmission apparatus has a synchronization pattern change processing unit 41b for a transmission framer which detects a code pattern for frame synchronization establishment for each lane after optical transmission, calculates a delay time difference between lanes from the detected code pattern, and adds code patterns to the lane signals, the patterns being different from each other with a low correlativity and a code mark ratio of nearly 1/2, before optical transmission of data in parallel for the purpose of adding a delay to each lane signal based on the calculated delay time difference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
