<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which either of a trickle developing manner or a conventional developing manner can be selected. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus including a detachable developing unit which forms a toner image on a photoreceptor using a developer containing a carrier and a toner, the developing unit is selected from either of a trickle developing unit 11 with a discharge mechanism for overflowing the developer or a conventional developing unit 11a without the discharge mechanism for overflowing the developer, and is attached to the apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
