<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the yield of propylene in the method for producing propylene using a C5 fraction. <P>SOLUTION: Propylene is produced by undergoing a selective hydrogenation reaction step, a first olefin metathesis reaction step, a first propylene recovery step, a 1-butene recovery step, an isomerization step, a second olefin metathesis reaction step, and a second propylene recover step with the use of a C5 fraction having an amount of isoprene present in the C5 fraction of 0-50 wt.% based on the total amount of 1,3-pentadiene and isoprene present in the C5 fraction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
