PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent an adhesive agent from oozing from between a yoke and a magnet. SOLUTION: A chucking device includes: a cone 42 arranged axially above a turntable; an annular yoke 43 arranged above the cone 42 and fixed to a shaft; and a clamp magnet 44 fixed to the yoke 43 through the adhesive agent. The yoke 43 includes an upper surface having an annular recess 71 defined in a concentric relationship with a central axis and at least a part of the adhesive agent 9 is applied on a region of the upper surface existing radially inwards of the recess 71. The recess 71 includes a radial outer wall 712 parallel to the central axis or inclined radially outwards and axially upwards and a radial inner wall 711 inclined radially inwards and axially upwards.
