<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a time priority job efficient while maintaining adequate image quality required for an image quality priority job when carrying out a plurality of jobs registered in a job queue. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus that carries out a plurality of jobs registered in a job queue, calibration for adjusting a parameter for an image forming process can be carried out. The number of prints for determining a calibration interval is preset as a threshold value. When the number of prints after the previous calibration exceeds the threshold value, a control part determines whether a first job to be carried out first after the excess and a second job to be carried out subsequent to the first job are the time priority job in which time takes priority over quality or the image quality priority job in which image quality takes priority over time.
