PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station apparatus performing an inter-base-station synchronization while suppressing effects on communications of a terminal device. SOLUTION: A base station apparatus is equipped with: a downstream signal receiving unit 12 for receiving a downstream signal from another base station apparatus; and a synchronization processing unit 5b for acquiring a known signal, which is included in the downstream signal from the other base station apparatus, to perform, based on the known signal, an inter-base-station synchronization with the other base station apparatus. The synchronization processing unit 5b performs the inter-base-station synchronization in such a manner that the transmission timing of the known signal in a downstream signal of the base station apparatus itself is different from the transmission timing of the known signal in the downstream signal of the other base station apparatus.
