PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity even for a preform having a shape with variable width. SOLUTION: When the width (the length of the preform 11 in a direction crossing a transfer direction R) of the preform 11 corresponding to a working width region S1 is changed (when the width of the working width region S1 is changed) to slip out a stitch needle 16 from the working width region S1 with the transfer of the preform 11 in the transfer direction R, a first support block 15 and a second support block 20 are downward moved to switchably arrange the stitch needle 16 and a first contact plate 211 from working positions shown by solid lines to escape positions shown by chain lines, and to switchably arrange a yarn guide 33 from a working position shown by a solid line to an escape position shown by chain lines, and switchably arrange a second contact plate 411 from a working position shown by a solid line to an escape position shown by chain lines.
