PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic signboard by a plurality of display devices using an existing network and server. SOLUTION: A communication terminal 102 is used as a display device of content. One of the plurality of communication terminals 102 inputs display control information for controlling the contents displayed at the plurality of communication terminals 102 and arrangement position information of the communication terminal to be a control object, and transmits it to an SMS server 104. The SMS server 104 has an access point information storage area 600 wherein the arrangement position information corresponding to arrangement positions at which the plurality of communication terminals 102 are arranged and the telephone number of the communication terminal are stored in association with each other. The SMS server 104 acquires one, two or more corresponding telephone numbers by referring to the access point information storage area on the basis of the arrangement position information. Also, a short message including display control information is prepared and the acquired telephone number is transmitted to the communication terminal as a destination.
