PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier capable of estimating the remainder of a usable period of a filter medium according to the water quality of raw water. SOLUTION: The water purifier 1 includes a filter medium 29, a water quantity measuring part 22, a water pressure measuring part 23 and an arithmetic part 27. The filter medium 29 purifies water by passing raw water throughthere. The water quantity measuring part 22 detects water quantity passing through the filter medium 29. The water pressure measuring part 23 detects a water pressure on the raw water side of the filter medium 29. The arithmetic part 27 calculates the remainder of a usable period of the filter medium 29 based on a ratio of water quantity detected by the water quantity measuring part 22 to a water pressure detected by the water pressure measuring part 23.
