PURPOSE: An earth leakage breaker is provided to improve the convenience of an assembling process by simplifying the electric connection between a main circuit conducting part and an earth leakage detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION: A load side main circuit terminal(2) is in connection with the load side of a main circuit converter. A power side main circuit terminal(1) is in connection with the power side of the main circuit converter. A zero-phase-sequence current transformer(19) detects the zero-phase-sequence current of the main circuit converter. A leakage verifying circuit(20) verifies the leakage of the main circuit converter based on the output signal of the zero-phase-sequence current transformer. Based on the output signal of the leakage verifying circuit, the main circuit converter is broken.
