<p>A subsea wellhead assembly includes an outer wellhead member with a bore and a tubular inner wellhead member 21 adapted to be lowered into the bore of the outer wellhead member. A radially expandable load ring 29 is carried on the inner wellhead member for engagement with a first profile of the outer wellhead assembly. A radially expandable and contractible centralizer/overpull ring 49 is also positioned on the inner wellhead assembly and is biased to expand outward to engage the bore of the outer wellhead member. The overpull ring is received in a recess in of the outer wellhead assembly to enable an upward test pull of the inner wellhead member. The overpull ring may be a split ring biased outwardly by a spring element such as an elastomeric ring.</p> |
