Audio system for a vehicle

The system (1) has a dual oscillating coil loudspeaker (8) comprising oscillating coils (10, 11) for controlling a membrane (9) of the loudspeaker. Audio playback devices (2, 5) e.g. radio devices and emergency call devices, have loudspeaker outputs (3, 4, 6, 7) coupled with the oscillating coils of the coil loudspeaker. The playback devices provide electrical audio signals. The coils are galvanically separated. One playback device comprises a radio device, a phone hands-free device and a music playback device. The coil loudspeaker is arranged in a center console of the vehicle.
