1,049,702. Ski-bindings. H. MARKER. March 12, 1964 [March 15, 1963], No. 10539/64. Heading A6D A tightener for ski buildings comprises a lever 1 pivoted to a moveable bracket 5, an adjustment member 10 and a retaining bracket 14, which is adapted to be secured to a ski 16. The adjustment member comprises a plurality of stops 11 threaded on a cable 9 and urged against a nipple by a compression spring 13. The retaining bracket has a notched transverse wall having frustoconical recesses on both sides (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown), such that when the adjustment member is forced into engagement with the bracket the stops are initially parted but snap back under action of the spring 13 to engage the recesses. The retaining bracket may contain a spring-loaded detent ball, which co-acts with a longitudinal groove formed on the inner side wall of the lever 1. |
