A fuel injection system for a multicylinder engine comprises a nozzle block 24 situated in an air induction chamber 10 and having a nozzle 22 directed towards each induction branch pipe 18. Pressurized fuel supplied at 58 flows past a diaphragm-controlled cut-off valve to a chamber 64 from which the fuel flows with the nozzles 22. The nozzle block 24 is detachably secured by a plate 26 in the chamber 10. Each nozzle 22 has atomizing air supplied through pipe 84 to an annular space 73, Fig. 4 (not shown) surrounding the fuel jet (70), the air mixing with the fuel in passage 80 of the nozzle.</p> |
