The system (100) has an automation equipment (90) e.g. programmable controller, comprising a connecting element (1) for connection with a data cable (80). An adaptation unit (5) is arranged such that a detachable connection with a receiving unit (4) is formed and a movement of the adaptation unit by the receiving unit is prevented. The adaptation unit has a connection unit (6) i.e. cutting and clamping device, that connects wires (50) of the data cable. A signal transmission unit (7) is arranged between the connection unit and a connecting element (2) of the adaptation unit.
