Use of a nozzle for a laser drilling head

The nose-piece has a mirror (145) placed in optical path of laser beam downstream of a beam collimation unit, so that the emerging beam forms an angle less than 180 degrees with the entering beam. A laser beam assisting gas supply emits gas via a YAG Nd type pulsed laser beam output opening in the direction of the beam, where the opening has a protective blade (147). The mirror is maintained by a removable fixing unit (146). An independent claim is also included for use of a nose-piece for drilling or repairing an engine part of a gas turbine engine.
