A negative pressure generating unit (130) that is connected to a print head, and is formed by mounting a pressure receiving member (140) and a pressure receiving and biasing spring (145) to a negative pressure chamber (135), a sealing valve (150) that is connected to an ink tank, and is formed by mounting a valve element (160) and a valve biasing spring (165) in a pressure chamber (155), and a linkage mechanism (170) that is formed by mounting a swingable operating lever (180) mounted to a communication flow chamber (175) and that interconnects the negative pressure chamber (135) and the pressure chamber (155) are provided. When the pressure receiving member (140) is moved inwardly into the negative pressure chamber (135) by discharge of ink, the operating lever (180) swings to move the valve element (160), opening the sealing valve (150). In this linkage structure using the operating lever (180), a length of a first arm section (185a) of the operating lever (180) is set greater than a length of a second arm section (185b) of the operating lever (180).
