PURPOSE: An apparatus for keeping a lane and preventing lane departure is provided to resolve a problem of right lane information error of missing. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for keeping a lane and preventing lane departure comprises: a lane recognition unit(10) which extracts lane information from a lane image at left side of a vehicle; a lane boundary recognition unit(20) which extracts lane boundary information; a position recognition unit(40) which acquires vehicle position information from satellite navigation device(80); and a lane information integration part(30) for generating an imaginary lane based on the information.
