<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The applicator has a rod with stamped portions forming articulations, and an application unit (6) arranged at an end (5) of the rod, where the rod is previously provided with the unit during a stamping operation. The unit has a tuft of bristles, a felt and a flocking or foam covering. One of the portions is arranged in the lower half of the rod in order to deform the rod near the unit. The rod is formed of a thermoplastic material and has another end (8) with a fixing tip in a gripping unit (9). #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a cosmetic product packing and application device having an applicator (2) a method for fabricating an applicator (3) a machine for fabricating a cosmetic product applicator. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used in a cosmetic product packing and application device for applying a cosmetic or a dermatologic product such as a make-up or skin care product e.g. nail polish, eye-liner, eye shadow (claimed), lipstick and lip gloss, on a surface e.g. skin, lips, eyelid, mucosa and appendage of the skin such as nails of the hands and feet, of a human body. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The stamped portions maintain deformations acquired during the stamping operation without returning to its initial shape during the life of the applicator, so that the pressure of the application unit on the surface to be treated is reduced. The applicator hence permits the user to have better gestures, more flexibility, more comfort and more preciseness during the application of the product. The rod is previously provided with the application unit during the stamping operation, thus facilitating the installation of the application unit on the rod. The applicator permits to create a large variety of rods with articulations without the necessity of fabricating specific molds. One of the portions is arranged in the lower half of the rod in order to deform the rod near the application unit, so that the applicator provides flexibility during the application of the product.
