PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for obtaining a panoramic image are provided to adjust the intensity of a radioactive ray in order to maintain a scale of a frame image at a certain level. CONSTITUTION: A method for obtaining a panoramic image comprises the steps of: calculating the gray scale average value of pixels including a predetermined reference region of a frame image obtained by irradiating a radioactive ray to a certain portion of an image layer locus(S100); comparing the calculated gray scale average value with the gray scale reference value calculated from the predetermined sample region to calculate a radioactive ray correcting value corresponding to the difference value(S110); and irradiating an intensity-adjusted radioactive ray to a certain portion of the image layer locus according to the calculated radioactive correcting value(S120).
