PURPOSE: A device for removing foreign materials of a strip moving roll is provided to prevent abrasion and damage to the roller surface in the removing of oil or foreign materials by contacting a pad and the surface of a roll with uniform force. CONSTITUTION: A device for removing foreign materials of a strip moving roll comprises driving sources(10,20) and upper and lower foreign material removing units(50,60). The driving source is arranged in the upper and lower part of conveying steel plate roll(R1, R2), respectively. The upper and lower foreign material removing units have upper and lower pads(30,40) moving toward the surface of a roll.
