ADH GENE INCREASING SEED GERMINATION OF PLANT AT ANAEROBIC CONDITION AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: An ADH(alcohol dehydrogenase) gene is provided to enhance seed germination in fresh water and to reduce flood damage of crops. CONSTITUTION: A plant of which seed germination is enhanced in the fresh water is prepared by transforming with a recombinant vector containing plant-derived ADH gene. The ADH gene is derived from Brassica rapa. A method for enhancing seed germination in the fresh water comprises a step of transforming a plant with the recombinant vector to overexpress ADH gene. A composition for enhancing plant seed germination in the fresh water contains ADH gene.
