PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire is provided to absorb reaction force from a road surface by deforming a thin groove of a buttress surface and to improve wandering-resistance. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises a carcass(6) and a belt layer(7). The carcass is formed from a tread unit to a bead core(5) of a bead unit(4) through a side wall unit. The belt layer is arranged inside the tread unit. The ratio of a tread width(TW) and a tire maximum width(SW) between tread ends is 0.75~0.95. A thin groove is consecutively extended in the edge direction of a tire and is formed on the buttress surface of the side wall unit. The angle between the center line of the thin groove and the normal of the carcass is within 10°.
