PURPOSE: A real time fault monitoring apparatus is provided to prevent misjudgment due to aging by correcting the error of an aging model of a driving system. CONSTITUTION: In a real time fault monitoring apparatus, a mathematical model unit(10) outputs a simulation result. The simulation result is followed by a control signal inputted to a load driver. A performance index calculation unit(20) integrates the square of an error(e) at the time constant(T) interval. The performance index calculation unit gets a performance index(E). The model adaptation unit(30) updates the parameter of the mathematical model unit. A performance analysis unit(40) comprises a failure decision module(41) and a failure time prediction model(42) The failure time prediction model calculates a time when a value is reached to a predetermined failure decision value.
