PURPOSE: A volatile fraction from Glycine max(L.) Merr. seeds and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same are provided to treat dermatitis and enhance cell regeneration and hair growth. CONSTITUTION: A volatile fraction is obtained from Glycine max(L.) Merr. seed, Sesamum indicum seeds, Phaseolus radiatus L. seeds, or antibacterial herbs. A method for preparing the volatile fraction comprises: a step of adding crude extract to an alcohol solution and water; and a step of volatilizing the crude extract under 110°C to obtain the volatile fraction. The antibacterial herbs are dried Phellodendron amurense Rupr. bark or dried Phellodendri Cortex bark .
