The invention relates to a control device of a stepped automatic transmission, said device being arranged in a drive train (1) of a motor vehicle in the power flow between a drive motor (2) and the axle differential (11) of a drive axle (4) or a power divider, and comprises an electronic gearbox control device (13) comprising a data memory (20), wherein several control data sets are memorised. Respectively, one of the control data sets can be selected manually and/or automatically and can be activated for controlling the stepped automatic transmission (3). In order to increase flexibility in terms of use and the functional security of said stepped automatic transmission, several groups (21, 22, 23) of control data sets (21a - 21h, 22a - 22h, 23a - 23h) are permanently stored on the data memory (20), each group (21, 22, 23) of control data sets being respectively embodied for a different drive train configuration and/or a different use of the motor vehicle, and the groups (21) of control data sets configured for the present drive train configuration and/or the present applicational use of the motor vehicle are authorised to be used and the remaining groups of control data sets (22, 23) are blocked from being used. |
