PURPOSE: An application layer link establishment method between cellular backhaul systems is provided to supply an application link establishment function to maintain logical synchronization between CBS systems. CONSTITUTION: An Ethernet packet processing unit decides a system address. If a received Ethernet packet is an Ethernet connection message, the Ethernet packet processing unit sends the Ethernet connection message to the other party. If the Ethernet packet is data, the Ethernet packet processing unit extracts trunk information. A trunk packet processing unit decides the system address of the other party. The trunk packet processing unit transmits an Ethernet link establishment message to the other party.
