PURPOSE: A stereoscopic image display and a driving method thereof are provided to enhance the display quality of the stereoscopic image display. CONSTITUTION: A data modulation unit(19) receives the data including left eye image data and right eye image data to compare nth frame data with n-1th frame data. The data modulation unit modulates the nth frame data according to the comparison result. Shutter glasses(18) are synchronized to the display device to turn on/off the left eye shutter and the right eye shutter. A backlight unit(16) irradiates light to the display device.
