<p>PURPOSE: A water permeable block containing an environmentally-friendly material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to ensure improved water permeability, wear resistance, bending strength, and durability and reduced efflorescence by employing blast furnace slag, waste FRP, and yellow soil that replace cement of general water permeable blocks. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a water permeable block containing an environmentally-friendly material is as follows. Blast furnace slag powder, which is a byproduct of pig iron for steel making, and cement are mixed in a block molding apparatus and waste FRP powder and yellow soil powder are additionally mixed to create a binder. A base layer material, in which aggregate with a particle diameter of 5~13mm and the binder are mixed at the weight ratio of 1:3~4 and stirred in a dry manner and a high performance AE water reducer is additionally mixed, is put in the block molding apparatus by 80~85 weight%. A finish layer material, in which aggregate with a particle diameter of 2.5~5mm and the binder are mixed at the weight ratio of 1:3~4 and stirred in a dry manner and a high performance AE water reducer and pigment are additionally mixed, is put in the block molding apparatus by 15~20 weight%. An embossed or engraved pattern is formed on the surface of a finish layer through vibration forming and cured with steam.</p> |
