<p>The detector has a container (1) enclosing a transmitter and a receiver (3) for an electromagnetic signal e.g. infrared optical signal. The container has lenses and a window (4), which transmits the signal coming from and diverted towards exterior of the container. The transmitter and the receiver are mounted on a plate (11) hermetically sealed in an inner cavity of the container by a solidified filling material (23) i.e. two component polymer adhesive. An elastomer cap (14) projects outside the container, and an elastomer joint (20) contacts between the plate and the container wall.</p> |
